I am a qualified counsellor with a BACP-Accredited Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, following my studies at Wealden Institute. I am Registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am additionally a member of its Children, Young People and Families Division.
In addition to my work at The Lodge, I am a member of the Sussex Community Counselling team, which offers short-term counselling to adults and young people (11–18 year-olds). My role also involves working with clients referred to the Survivors of Suicide service.
I hold a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Certificate, and full indemnity insurance. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a Data Controller.
Since 2000 I have been a registered Speech & Language Therapist, working for many years in the NHS, and more recently in independent practice. I have almost twenty years’ experience working with children and young people, and more recently, adults with language and communication difficulties. I specialise in supporting people with social communication disorders including Autism. I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT).
